SunRoom Redo

Check out what Nodakademic did with only $250

She says "for under $250, we got a room that’s functional, comfortable and attractive. Given that this is the very first room people see when they enter our home, I believe it was money well-spent. And (thinking of future buyers here), I’m glad we now have an entry way that is attractive and welcoming, rather than garish and in a slightly frightening state of disrepair. I also learned a few things along the way. (I can now say I know how to refinish a floor!)"

Life Size Kerplunk Game

Halloween is just 2 months away and so preparations are already underway at my house for a large party this year. This weekend we used some scrap materials and a trip to the dollar store to produce this large scale kerplunk game! It turned out perfect! For those of you who don't know how to play, you simply place all the sticks through the barrel dump the balls in, and take turns pulling a stick out. The goal is to be the one with the least amount of balls dropped in the end!
Lenore transformed this plane dresser into something alive and vibrant. She says " I picked it up about a month back at a thrift shop and I was initially drawn to the solid pine frame and elegant shape."
Well done Lenore! Read and see more at her blog Lather.Write.Repeat

Metal Kitchen Cart

LostandFawned found this vintage metal kitchen cart in the basement of an estate sale. "I saw it on Saturday when it was marked at 50 cents and then again on Sunday when it was half priced at 25 cents.  Something about it sucked me in and it ended up in the back of our mini cooper for a mere quarter."

Painted Chandelier

Jill picked the perfect color for this Chandelier redo. Look how much a simple coat of new paint makes!

The Boy's Dresser

Look at the awesome job Centsational Girl did on a boys dresser. She says "I spied a listing for an Hemnes dresser on Craiglist last week for sale by a couple in my hometown for half the retail price, I scooped it up.  Only problem ~ it was black.  Not that I don’t like black furniture, but it was too dark for the little lad’s room.
So I painted it.  Then added some blue stripey trim around the drawers just for fun."

Stockade Fence Into Plant Shelf

Look what Gail recycled! She turned this old Stockade Fence into many new useful things, Including a Plant Shelf and a Flag! Gail Says "My friend Regina planned to replace her privacy fence with a new fence. That was several weeks ago. I asked her if I could have her old fence. She was shocked! She couldn’t imagine what on earth I would want with her old fence. Well as all us junkers know, old, aged fencing is a premium find! I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it."
